A place visit is a check-in: a post tagged with a Place, either on its own or attached to a photo. Facebook lists them on the profile under Check-ins, and its search can filter them by the Place's category, which is what the links above do. Bars, Restaurants, Hotels, Stores, Outdoors and Theaters are each a separate query.
Paste the profile link and press the button. All under Places opens every check-in. The category rows narrow it. Each result is the original post, with the date, the photo if there was one and the people tagged along.
A check-in takes the audience of the post it belongs to. Public check-ins open for anyone. Friends-only check-ins open for friends. When someone else tags the person at a place, the check-in belongs to the tagger and follows their audience, which is why a friend's public post can place someone whose own profile shows nothing.
Places the person liked, as opposed to visited, live under Interests. Those are Pages, not check-ins, and the Places row under Interests opens them.
