Paste a Facebook profile link or a name below. Facebook Dating has no search by name or link, so this page gives you what does exist: the person's main profile, Facebook's People search for a name, and how Secret Crush and the Dating tab work.
Facebook Dating profile finder: what exists and what does not
Facebook Dating is a separate space inside the Facebook app. It has no search box for people, no profile links and no way to open a Dating profile from outside Dating. That is by design: Facebook built it so your Facebook friends do not see you there unless you both choose it. So a finder in the sense of type a name, see their Dating profile does not exist, and no site can build one. Here is what can be done:
From a profile link: the main Facebook profile, where Relationship status sits under About when it is public. The box above builds that link.
From a name: Facebook's People search, to find the main profile first.
From inside Dating: Secret Crush, the one tool Facebook made for this question, and the suggestions Dating shows you.
Sites that promise a Facebook Dating profile search, viewer or finder for a fee cannot do it either. They have no access that you do not have.
Secret Crush: the one way to find out
Secret Crush lives inside your own Dating profile. You pick up to nine people from your Facebook friends and, if your Instagram is connected, from your Instagram followers. Each of them is told only that someone has a crush on them, without a name. If one of them adds you to their own Secret Crush list, you both get a match. If they do not use Dating, or never add you, nothing happens and they never learn it was you.
What it tells you: a match means the person uses Dating and picked you back. Nothing else is ever revealed.
What it does not tell you: no match does not mean they are not on Dating. It means they did not pick you, or they have not opened Dating lately.
Where it is: in the Facebook app, Menu, then Dating, then Secret Crush. Dating itself has to be set up first.
Why a Facebook Dating profile is not visible, and the fixes
Not visible comes up in two directions: your Dating profile is not shown to others, or you cannot see someone you expected. The usual reasons:
You are not in each other's suggestions. Dating shows profiles by location, age range and preferences. If one of you set a short distance or a narrow age range, the other never appears. Widen both in Dating settings.
You are Facebook friends. Dating does not suggest current Facebook friends unless you both add each other as Secret Crush. There is no setting that changes this.
Dating is paused. In Dating settings, Take a break hides a profile from everyone. Turn it off to be visible again.
Dating is not available. Facebook Dating exists in the US, Canada, most of Europe, parts of Latin America and a few countries in Asia. Elsewhere the Dating tab does not appear at all, and being under 18 removes it too.
The app is old. Dating only works in the current Facebook app for Android or iPhone, not in a browser. Update the app and open Dating from the Menu.
If Dating says your profile is not visible to others while it is being reviewed, that is normal: Facebook hides a new profile until the review passes, usually within a day.
How Facebook Dating relates to the main profile
A Dating profile is built from the main profile but kept apart from it. Knowing which parts cross over answers most of what people ask:
Goes over: first name and age, taken from the main profile and not editable in Dating. The person picks photos from their Facebook and Instagram, and answers Dating questions.
Stays apart: nothing about Dating appears on the main profile, in the feed, in stories or in notifications to friends. Friends cannot see that someone uses Dating.
Who sees the Dating profile: only the people Dating suggests it to, and matches. Dating messages stay in Dating, not in Messenger.
Deleting the Dating profile does not touch the Facebook account. Deleting the account removes Dating with it.
So the main profile is the public part. Paste its link above to open it, or use the form further down to see everything that profile shares.
Fake Dating finders and viewers
Searches for a Facebook Dating viewer, finder or search bring up sites and apps that promise a name lookup. They work in one of two ways, and both end badly. Some run a plain Facebook or Google search and dress it up as a Dating result. Others ask for your Facebook login, which hands your account to someone else. StalkFace does neither: the box above reads the link or the name in your browser and builds plain Facebook links. Nothing is sent and nothing is fetched.
Common questions
Can you search for someone on Facebook Dating?
No. Facebook Dating has no search by name, username or profile link, and no Dating profile has a link that can be shared. You only see the people Dating suggests to you and your matches.
How do I find out if someone has a Facebook Dating profile?
Secret Crush is the only route Facebook offers. Add the person inside your own Dating profile; if they add you too, you match and you know. Otherwise you never find out, and neither do they. No site or app can check it for you.
Can my Facebook friends see my Dating profile?
No. Dating does not show your profile to current Facebook friends unless you both add each other as Secret Crush. Nothing about Dating appears on your main profile or in the feed.
Why is my Facebook Dating profile not visible?
Usually because it is paused with Take a break, still under review, or outside other people's distance and age settings. Check Dating settings, turn off the break and widen your own range. Dating also does not exist in every country.
Why does Facebook Dating not show up for me?
Dating lives in the Facebook app for Android and iPhone, in the Menu. It does not appear on the desktop site, for people under 18, or in countries where Facebook has not launched it. Update the app and check the Menu.
Does Facebook Dating use my main profile photo?
Only if you pick it. Dating starts your profile with your first name and age from Facebook and lets you choose photos from Facebook and Instagram. Nothing you add in Dating appears on your main profile.
Is a Facebook Dating viewer or finder app safe?
No. Dating has no public data to read, so those apps either show an ordinary Facebook search as if it were a Dating result or ask you to log in, which gives away your account. There is no safe version of a tool that cannot work.
