Liked pages are the most public part of a profile

Every Page a person likes is stored as a like, and Facebook groups them by category on the About page: Music, Movies, Books, TV, Sports teams, Restaurants and so on. The Likes section defaults to Public, and most people never change it because it feels harmless. It is often the most complete picture of someone's taste that Facebook shows to a stranger.

Paste the profile link and press the button. Under Interests, the Pages row opens the full list. Music, Movies, Books and Religion open the matching categories, and Political Parties opens the Pages Facebook files under that heading.

Reading the list

Facebook shows the most recent likes first, so the top of the list is what the person is into now. The count next to each category is a quick read on where their attention goes. Restaurants and Places are worth a look on their own: a run of liked cafes in one neighbourhood says more than a city name on the About page.

Pages the person follows without liking are not listed here. Neither are Pages they manage, unless they chose to show that on their profile.

When the list is empty

The Likes section was set to Friends or Only me on the About page.
The profile is locked, which limits the About page to friends.
The person genuinely likes nothing, which is rare but happens.

Common questions

Why do some profiles show nothing?

Because liked pages can be hidden. If the person set that section to private, there is nothing public to open.

Do I need an account on StalkFace?

No. You paste a profile link and get search links back. You open them in your own Facebook session, in the same browser.

Does Facebook tell the person?

No. StalkFace never touches their account. It builds a search link, and Facebook does not notify anyone about searches or profile views.

Can I see which pages someone follows?

Only the Pages they liked. Following without liking is not shown on a profile.

Are liked pages public by default?

Yes. The Likes section of the About page is public unless the person changed it, and profile lock is the only setting that hides it in one step.
