# StalkFace

> StalkFace turns a Facebook profile link into a set of ready-made search links
> that open what a person has made public: their photos, posts, friends, likes,
> groups, events and the places they have been. You paste a profile URL, and it
> gives you the links back. Nothing is downloaded and no account is created.

StalkFace has been online since 2013 and is free. It works in the browser, in
ten languages, with no sign-up and no app. It does not bypass anything: content
set to "Only me" or "Friends only" stays private, and Facebook does not notify
anyone when their profile or photos are looked at.

## What it does

- Takes a Facebook profile link, or the URL of a Facebook profile photo.
- Reads the profile handle or numeric ID out of that link, in the browser.
- Builds the Facebook search links that list a category of that person's public
  content: photos they posted, photos they are tagged in, friends, videos,
  posts, pages they liked, groups, events, places, comments.
- Opens each link in a new tab, inside the reader's own Facebook session.

## What it does not do

- It does not log in, scrape, or store anything about the person searched.
- It does not reveal private content. Privacy settings are enforced by Facebook,
  not by StalkFace, and StalkFace never sees them.
- It does not tell you who viewed your own profile. Facebook has never exposed
  that, and any site claiming otherwise is guessing.
- It has no account, no paywall and no download.
